Checked off bucket-list item, #613, today: “After leaving a voicemail for your brother in law and incorrectly believing you’ve hung up, sing the chorus to Genesis’ Land of Confusion, while commuting home. Sing with fervor. Hang up in a frenzied panic.”

What I’ve heard for 4 years: “I’m so and so, America is going down, it’s the last days, welcome to the USSA, start buying guns, we’re going down. And I’m a Mormon.” What I remember: “Be believing, be happy, don’t get discouraged. Things will work out.” -Gordon B. Hinkley. My request: Let’s not plod for the next four years in darkness, trudging through the same negativity, hopelessness, and dispair. Let’s remember the words of those who are wise. Pray for your needs, rejoice in your blessings.

Ok, I’m gonna be all conciliatory, now. The people have spoken (and votes are still being tallied.) Not sure that any of my votes are going to go my way, tonight. It’s ok. I’m grateful to be a member of this country. No one tried to kill me at the voting booth. I was free to speak my mind over Facebook for two months without worrying about anything except for a couple of yard signs being kicked over. I’m blessed to be in this country and I’ll support the leaders who are chosen.
